We're a values-based business

Every day, we are faced with making thousands of decisions. Some of them big, some of them small, some of them important, and some of them less so. But regardless, these decisions are significant – they shape every single moment of our lives.

It is no different for a business. But how does a business make decisions, especially where there are multiple owners, who just happen to be sisters, and a team of over 25 full-time, part-time, and casual staff?

We are proud to say that Zenders is a values-based business and our values provide the framework for every decision we make. To us, values aren’t ‘airy fairy’ – they’re important. They were first decided when the concept of Zenders began, and they’ve evolved as we have. They’re not overly complicated, but give us direction in a decision-making world.

So, what are they?

• European inspired, locally produced Supporting local is important. It allows us to produce top quality food, but also to do our bit for the community.

• Everyone has their own story to tell We believe in celebrating the past, looking to the future, and enjoying today.

• Good for the body and good got the planet Food should be delicious, healthy and enjoyable while also as environmentally friendly as possible.

• Gezelligheid - 'It's been a pleasure' Your experience should be a good one! Zenders endeavours to be a warm, welcoming place for all.

• You're part of the family We gather together to connect over a shared experience, and we all pitch in, wherever it is needed.
